Frequently asked questions

How long does it take to get started?

Most patients complete their intake and hear back from a provider within 24–48 hours on business days. Once your plan is confirmed, your prescription ships within 1–2 business days and typically arrives in 3–5 days depending on your location.

Are Rex providers licensed?

Yes. All providers on the Rex platform are licensed physicians or nurse practitioners licensed in your state. We currently serve patients across all 50 US states.

What states do you service?

We provide care and support to patients in all 50 U.S. states. Availability of specific services may vary by state based on provider licensure and applicable regulations, but our platform supports nationwide access to care.

How quickly will I hear from a provider?

Most patients receive their treatment plan within 24–48 hours of completing their intake. For complex cases, your provider may reach out with a follow-up question before finalizing your plan.

Is Rex Care right for me?

Rex Care supports a range of health goals, including weight management, skin care, men’s health, hair care, and overall wellness. Eligibility is determined through clinician review.

Can I message my provider after starting treatment?

Yes. Your provider stays accessible through the platform for follow-up questions, medication adjustments, and ongoing care. You are never handed off to a call center or a generic support queue.

How is Rex different from a regular telehealth platform?

Most telehealth platforms replicate the traditional appointment model online. Rex is built around personalized biology — every plan is shaped by your intake, your health history, and your goals. No cookie-cutter protocols, no referral maze, no waiting room.

How is Rex different from seeing a doctor in person?

Rex is entirely online — no waiting rooms, no travel, no time off work. You complete a comprehensive intake at your own pace, connect with a licensed provider via secure messaging, and receive your prescription delivered to your door. Because you pay only for your medication and we're outside the insurance system, there are no surprise bills or prior-authorization delays.

Are Rex Care medications real prescriptions?

Yes. Every medication offered through Rex Care requires a prescription from a licensed provider and is prepared and dispensed by a licensed pharmacy. Rex Care currently offers compounded medications; it does not currently offer FDA-approved medications. Compounded medications are not FDA-approved and have not been reviewed by the FDA for safety, efficacy, or quality.

Are there any long-term commitments?

No. We offer flexible plans with transparent pricing. You stay in control of your care at every step.

Does Rex work with insurance? What about HSA/FSA?

Rex does not bill insurance directly — this keeps your care free from prior-authorization delays, coverage denials, and surprise bills. You pay only for your medication — provider review, secure messaging, and medication management are included, with no separate fees. Payments are processed by our telehealth platform partner, which may accept HSA- and FSA-linked cards — check with your plan administrator to confirm eligibility for your medication. We also provide itemized receipts after each payment that you can submit to your insurance plan for potential out-of-network reimbursement — though reimbursement is not guaranteed and depends on your specific plan.

Is my information secure?

Yes. Your personal and health information is handled securely and reviewed only by authorized healthcare professionals.
